Steven Yip is a partner in the Projects, Infrastructure and Construction group of Minter Ellison and has over 16 years of experience. He practises in the areas of construction law, dispute resolution and major projects in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. He has been involved in numerous mediations, arbitrations and litigations, including several high profile cases on behalf of public sector clients and major contractors. He has presented on topics relating to the new Competition Ordinance and advised clients/industry participants as to how to get ready for the full implementation of the new law. He is recognized as a 'leading lawyer' by various legal directories.

Brian Liu is an associate in the Projects, Infrastructure and Construction group of Minter Ellison. He has been involved in a variety of construction disputes, representing employers and contractors alike. He has a keen interest in competition law, and has taken an active role in keeping clients up-to-date with the latest developments in the run-up to the Competition Ordinance's full implementation by the end of the year.

Hong Kong's Competition Ordinance will finally come into full effect on 14 December 2015.  Businesses throughout Hong Kong have very little time left to ensure their operations comply with the new law before they risk prosecution.  This seminar will set out the most critical dos and don'ts to avoid falling foul of the new law, with a focus on the construction industry.  During the talk, participants will be given practical examples and scenarios to help better understand the concepts.
