Organised by the HKIS Housing Policy Panel (Panel) the half-day Forum will review the existing housing policy in Hong Kong. Guest speakers will deliver views on the existing housing policy and then followed by a panel discussion.

Since the launch of the Long Term Housing Strategy (LTHS), house/flat prices in Hong Kong have continued to soar.   Voices on the difficulties in getting onto the property ladder have increased.

The theme of the forum will discuss issues surrounding the housing supply and demand situation (both private and public) and the availability of land in meeting such demand.  Whether the current situation in Hong Kong can meet the housing target as set out by the LTHS?  What are the problems we are facing?  Or, is there any need to adjust the LTHS / existing policy?

Speakers from different sectors will share their experience and views on this subject.
