Details	:	Itinerary : 9:15am – Gathering at entrance of Tower 1 of Millennium City 1 (Please check the gathering point from the link) 9:30am – Briefing presentation of Elevator and Escalator 10:30am – Visit the Showroom and Workshop 12:00noon – Dismiss at Hung To Centre (The scheduled time may be changed so as to suit the actual conditions on the date of the visit.) (Successful registration will receive details of the visit.) Founded in Finland in 1910, KONE is one of the global leaders in elevator and escalator industry with over 100 years experience and operate worldwide with around 50,000 employees. KONE Elevator (HK) Ltd was founded in 1980 with over 700 staff and is servicing over 6,000 units of elevator and escalator in various segments including retail, residential, infrastructure, office, hotel, medical and public transportation. The topics to be covered in the presentation will include (1) Contemporary Green Solutions – Latest Elevator and Escalator Technologies, and (2) General Practices on Design and Construction of Elevator and Escalator. After the briefing session, members will be guided to visit the showroom and workshop. The visit to the showroom will give a more holistic picture elevator development. There are also real elevator cars, interior material samples, accessories, signalizations on display. The workshop is equipped with different functions of simulators for training and testing purpose covering process of installation, dismantlement, maintenance and repairing. After the visit, members can obtain (1) basic knowledge of elevator and escalator including equipment components and its mechanical operations, (2) the benefits of choosing “green products”, (3) the industry updates and innovation development, and (4) clear understanding of elevator practices.
Remarks	:	FULL Closing date: 23 July 2016 Online registration is NOT accepted for this CPD event. Please fill in the attached Declaration Form together with Standard Reservation Form for this CPD event. First-come-first-served with duly completed Standard Reservation Form, Declaration Form and payment. Please equip with your own non-slip shoes. Latecomers will NOT be picked up.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
