Seminar content
The seminar will address the damage mechanisms of concrete under elevated temperatures. A case study is used to illustrate the procedure to assess various damage levels of reinforced concrete building after fire attack, and the associated repair methods. Finally, the prevention measures of explosive spalling of high strength concrete under fire, as recommended by the current Code of Practice of Structural Use of Concrete 2013, will be discussed.
