Details :

Since the return of sovereignty some 19 years ago, much attention has been paid to flat supply, imposition of stamp duties, fluctuation in property prices, transaction volumes etc. There appears no/little mentioning of land lease matters, in particular rights and obligations of individual owners.

With over 40 years in land administration, Mr. Francis Ng will attempt to outline the previous and present approaches on land grant tenures. He will elaborate on the situation in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula and the New Territories. Mr. Ng will be glad to discuss these issues with practitioners with a view to elucidate the case.
