BEAM Plus is a green building rating tool widely adopted in Hong Kong. Every year, there are about 150 projects participating in BEAM Plus, generating substantial assessment workload. The workload is also diversified as new tools, including revamped tool for existing buildings and new tool for neighbourhood, have been launched recently.  In this talk, the speaker will share the latest development of BEAM Plus and talk about how to become BEAM Assessors, who are individuals accredited by Hong Kong Green Building Council, providing assessment service on a paid or volunteer basis. The service can be performed outside a person’s day-time job so that his/her career will not be affected. There are two routes to become BEAM Assessors, including a normal route and a veteran scheme. The former is targeted at practicing professionals while the latter is targeted at retired persons.
