Speaker	:	Dr. Cynthia Hou is currently a lecturer in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She obtained her PhD from the Department of Real Estate and Construction at the University of Hong Kong in 2013. Her teaching and research interest include Strategic Facilities Management, Hospitality Facilities Planning and Management, Historic Building Revitalization, and Corporate Real Estate.

Details	:	The use of websites as media for communication between property management companies and owners, residents, tenants, and the general public is more popular than ever. The aim of this research project is to study the ways to use web-based property management tools to provide process enhancement to the property and facility management profession. The research team has investigated the status of development and usage of web-based property management systems (WPMS) through interviews with professional property managers and a questionnaire survey with residents from the estates with WPMS. The research team will present the results of the study at the seminar and share with the audience the insights of WPMS development in Hong Kong.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
