• Founder and Chairperson of RadHealth*
• Over 35 years of research and experience in ecotoxicology, environmental policy, legislation, enforcement (radiation, air, noise, waste and water, and environmental impact assessment).
• Former Principal Environmental Protection Officer, official member on the Radiation Board, Daya Bay Contingency Plan, planned and developed the Low Level Radioactive Facility of Hong Kong in Siu A Chau.
• Monitoring radiation in the environment and building materials, and
testing air purifying equipment for removal of indoor radon In cooperation with Safecast, organized the largest bGeigie (GeigerCounter) assembly workshops worldwide in 2015.
• Conducted numerous workshops and talks at schools, government departments, HKIE, ICAC, private organizations, companies, community groups, Guest Speaker at Dr. Michael Nobel (member of Nobel Prize Family) Pollution Forum.

 The Speaker will cover topics, including:

 

  1. Ionizing radiation - from building materials, indoor radon, food (e.g. from Japan), health impact *
  2. Non-ionizing radiation - Electromagnetic waves, Wifi, mobile phones, transmission towers, mitigatory measures in buildings
  3. Solar radiations reflected from building façades/ glass curtain walls - pioneering ray tracing study; EIA during planning stage can prevent nuisance, health hazards, damages, blinding glare to drivers

 

* Participants are welcome to bring samples (e.g. building tiles, food) for radiation measurements.
