Speaker	:	Mr. Lam Wai Pan, Wilson Mr. Lam Wai Pan, Wilson is a registered architect, AP(Architect) and PMP in HK. He has more than 20 years of experience in architectural practice, building construction & project management in both private & public sector. In addition, he had experiences in IT-related projects and is an ITIL Expert, CIMP and Certified Big Data Science Professional. He is now working in Architectural Services Department. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators & a Fellow Member of HK Institute of Arbitrators. He is a Council Member of HK Institute of Arbitrators & the Chair of Adjudication Committee. He had also served as a member of Arbitrators Appointment Board of HK International Arbitration Centre Advisory Committee from 2013 to 2016. He had won the HKIA CPD Research Award 2016 on a research topic for Security of Payment Legislation for Hong Kong.

Details	:	The speaker would discuss the following in the seminar: Overview of the proposed Security of Payment Legislation (SOPL) for Hong Kong Comparison of the proposed SOPL in HK with overseas jurisdiction such as UK, Singapore, Australia & New Zealand and Malaysia. Potential Impacts to Contract Certifiers, like Architects, Engineers & Surveyors. Potential Impacts to Consultants and Sub-consultants. Potential application to IT related Contracts in Construction Industry.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
