Speaker	:	Dr Charles Lam DBA CFA MRICS Managing Director - Real Estate, Baring Private Equity Asia Dr Charles Lam joined Baring Private Equity Asia in 2011 as Managing Director, Real Estate with primary focus in Greater China real estate investments. A veteran in real estate investment industry for more than 25 years, Dr Lam was previously the Managing Director, Greater China of Pramerica Real Estate Investors (PREI, now renamed as PGIM) where he opened its Hong Kong office in 2007. During his 4-year stay with PREI, Dr Lam has completed over US$1 billion of real estate investments, refinancing, and disposition projects in China and in Hong Kong. Dr Lam was formerly the Director, Head of Real Estate Investment of China Ping An Trust based in Shenzhen, where he spearheaded the real estate investment business for the company. Since joining Ping An in 2005, Dr Lam was responsible for investing more than US$900 million in hard assets and development projects across China. His prior employment included AIG Global Real Estate Investment and Sun Hung Kai Properties Group. Dr Lam is a Vice Chairman of the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce (CRECC) Hong Kong & International Chapter, and an Adjunct Professor of PolyU’s School of Accounting and Finance.

Details	:	In this seminar Dr Lam will talk about the latest competitive landscape of the private equity real estate industry, some key factors and areas that the young professional practitioners shall be paying more attention to, and finally he will talk about the new trends on investment products in this turbulent market environment.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
