Details	:	In 2017, it is the policy of the Government of the HKSAR that Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology must be used in the design and construction of major government capital works projects with a project estimate of more than HK$30 million that are scheduled to start in 2018, and promote the use of this technology in private construction projects. This has generated a surge in demand for BIM practitioners and training needs. The CITF was open for application on 2 October 2018. Levy paying contractors, registered subcontractors under Subcontractor Registration Scheme and listed consultants on designated lists are eligible to apply for BIM, MiC, Advanced Construction Technologies and Prefabricated Steel Rebar under Technology Adoption stream. Local higher education institutions, professional institutions, trade associations and trade unions are eligible to apply for courses and conferences under Manpower Development stream. The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has launched a BIM Certification and Accreditation Schemes (the “Schemes”) with an objective to ensure that the construction practitioners have prerequisite skill levels and competency in using BIM technology, and that the scope and quality of BIM courses provided in the market meet the requirements. The briefing will cover the coverage and operation of the CITF as well as the implementation of the Schemes, including the objective, eligibility, application procedures and assessment criteria, etc.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
