Mr. Cheung is an archaeologist with Hong Kong Archaeology Consultant Limited and has over 8 years of experience in archaeological investigation and excavation in Hong Kong and the United States.

 

Mr. Cheung is currently supervising Archaeological Rescue Excavation, Archaeological Watching Brief and Archaeological Review at Ha Wun Yiu, Tai Po; Yung Shue Wan Back Street and Sha Po New Village on Lamma Island; Kei Lun Wai and Fu Tei Ha Tsuen, in Tuen Mum for the Drainage Services Department (DSD) since 2013.

 

Mr. Cheung was involved in the Kowloon Sacred Hill North Survey-cum-Excavation in Former Kai Tak Airport and Kowloon Tai Hom Village Survey-cum-Excavation in Former Tai Hom Village between 2012 and 2013 for the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) where fruitful archaeological deposits were unearthed, as well as to assist in the archaeological watching brief for the Former Hollywood Road Police Married Quarter in Central (2012 to 2013).

 

With Mr. Cheung’s involvement in Hong Kong’s archaeological projects, he is familiar with the archaeological field practice, standards and requirements in Hong Kong.

 

In 2013, Mr. Cheung obtained the qualification as a Registered Professional Archaeologist under the Register of Professional Archaeologists in the United States and had supervised and participated in a number of archaeological excavations in Hong Kong and United States.
