The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) is one of the leading social organisations in investigating housing issues and exploring different solutions to housing problems. The Community Housing Movement (CHM) (社會房屋共享計劃) has been launched by HKCSS with the support from property owners, NGOs and social enterprises to provide affordable and decent transitional social housing to deprived households. Mr. Anthony Wong has been working in the HKCSS on policy research and advocacy, as well as service development. The CHM is one of the latest initiatives.

This event will revisit the social impact assessment exercises of three notable cases, namely (1) Blue House Project in Wan Chai, (2) the 13 Streets in To Kwa Wan amidst urban renewal process and (3) The Community Housing Movement (社會房屋共享計劃). The speaker will share his approach in identifying the community portfolio and hence the formulation of responses/mediation for the affected groups and subsequently the community.
