Sr Miranda Lui is an internationally educated and highly experienced engineering surveyor and trainer over 20 years of practical work experience in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Malaysia and the UK. She has found MES Services Limited in 2011 in Hong Kong. MES is an organization providing the services of BIM solutions for digital transformation on trainings, consultancy and R&D throughout Asia Pacific.

Miranda is the Founding Member and the Chairlady of Global BIM Centre of Excellence (CoE) also the Chairlady of The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) of China Region and Immediate Past Chair of Hong Kong Region. She is also keen to push BIM Macro adoption and professional assessment via global integration.

This presentation will focus on what is platform strategy, and how BIM applications make use of platform strategy benefit to us. Firstly, we will outline the emerging platform strategy in construction in major economies. Especially, we will share the latest experience of adopting NEC contract management as well as commercial management platforms across the globe. Then we will illustrate how BIM applications with platform tackle the challenges within the industry in a practical and productive way. Case studies will be shared to inspire the audience to rethink and further reprocess our existing workflow and practice. Finally, we will suggest how professionals, consultancies and contractors can do to keep up with the global transformation to improve productivity and competitiveness.
