Details	:	The refined Rules and Guide to the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and the newly launched Assessment of Technical Competence (ATC) take effect from 1st March 2019. A separate Rules and Guide allows more clear indication of the assessment requirements for candidates attempting respective assessment. There is nil major change in the skeleton of the APC, the elements of the assessment remains the same but we have allowed the grouping of Core Competence for the better clue of the required strength of our Building Surveyors. Counsellors are expected to offer appropriate guidance to the probationers in the training period to strengthen the skills of the probationers for the preparation of the assessment. There is also an explicit notes in the Section of Practical Task describing the mode of presentation including the provision of handout and the use of notebook/tablets. DEC Chairman, Sr Prof CHUNG will highlight in the Open Forum the refined modes of assessment and the significance of the refinement on the assessment for the better understanding of the change by Counsellors/Assessors.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
