Speaker	:	Mr Kelvin Tam Kelvin Tam, AIA, LEED AP, CCBIM is a well-experienced US Registered Architect with 20 years of project experience across the USA, Middle East and Asia. He has been a BIM / Revit user and leader since 2005. Over the years he has been a BIM leader in corporate architecture firms in the USA, Hong Kong, Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Singapore; leading the effort of migrating from 2D CAD to 3D BIM practice by implementing BIM process in projects, making firm wide BIM strategies and standards, coaching and mentoring internal users. For the past 14 years, he has been focused on the development, implementation and support of advanced BIM/VDC technologies to continuously improve the delivery process to clients. Mr. Tam is a BIM expert well-known in this field and loves to share his knowledge and expertise with fellow BIM learners. Since 2010, Mr. Tam has been actively speaking in major international BIM conferences such as Autodesk University Las Vegas, Autodesk University Extension Dubai, Revit Technology Conference (Australasia, North America, Europe, Asia), Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling Conference, BILT Asia and BILT North America. Mr. Tam is the founder of the Hong Kong Revit User Group, committee member of Autodesk Industry Advisory Board, committee member of Global BIM Centre of Excellence, external advisor (BIM) of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineering Surveyors.

Details	:	In this session the speaker would share his views and initiate dialogues with attendees on the following issues: Contract, EIR, BiM Execution Plan (BEP), are they aligned? BIM: deliverables or process? BEP targets deliverables rather than process/procedures/control How is BIM standards helping current situation? Is LOD enhancing or burdening Is BIM a necessity or a bonus for local practice?
Remarks	:	Participants with some understanding or knowledge in BIM will get more benefits from this CPD event.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
