Speaker	:	Ir Raymond Wong Wai-man Ir Raymond Wong is an independent researcher and a lecturer in the Division of Building Science and Technology at City University of Hong Kong. He joined the construction profession in 1977 and obtained his first professional qualification as a Chartered Builder in 1982. Ir Wong is currently a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and a retired member of the Chartered Institute of Building. Ir Wong has conducted a series of studies in tall building construction, industrialized construction systems, urban studies, infrastructure projects and other related studies since 1995. He has published more than 150 papers/articles of various nature and topics based on his studies in such areas.

Details	:	The Speaker will discuss the following in his talk: The talk will demonstrate and discuss the design principles and technical features for the construction of the HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project. The talk will further divide into the following sub-categories for discussion: Construction of the Hong Kong Link Road along the South-Western coast of Lantau Island. Construction of the Hong Kong Link Road landed onto the South Perimeter Road of CLK Link Bridge getting into the tunnel at Scenic Hill Link road between the tunnel at Scenic Hill and the Man-made Island Forming of the Man-made Island Construction of the Boundary Crossing Facilities Construction of the Link Road (Tai Ho Junction) Construction of the Link Road (Junction at Man-made Island) Construction of the Tuen Mun-Chak Lap Kok Link Road (Junction at Tuen Mun) Brief illustration of the Zhuhai and Macao facilities

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
