2:00 pm - Gathering at main entrance of the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters, Tsim Sha Tsui

2:30 pm - Visit to Observatory Headquarters

4:00 pm - Dismiss at Observatory Headquarters

Being located in one of the busiest districts in Hong Kong, the Observatory Headquarters shares a quiet and serene corner of it.  Members will be guided by the representative from the HKO to understand the development of the HKO over the past 130 years.  Members will also learn how technology is utilized to aid in weather forecast and climate change.

 

The HKO building is a declared monument which designed in Victoria-Colonial style with arched windows and long verandas.  Members will have the opportunities to appreciate this elegant historical building (Grade I) during the visit.
