Abstract

Since the first appearance of the term “Common Spatial Data Infrastructure (CSDI)” in 2017 in Chief Executive’s Policy Address, more professional surveyors (and other professionals) start to aware of the term “spatial” particularly Land Surveyors and may note that CSDI is often associated with Smart City, Map, GIS, BIM, Open Data and other terms which apparently closer to IT than surveying.  Some may consider CSDI is merely a fancy term of a new system while some may consider that it could be an evolution if not revolution of the industry.  The author wishes to share, based on his experience, his understanding about CSDI and will try to exchange in a simple and interactive manner with the audience.
