Speaker	:	Sir David Tweedie, Chairman, International Valuation Standards Committee (IVSC) has been invited to speak at the CPD hosted by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (“HKIS”). Sir David is the former chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board (2001-11) and the 19th member of The Accounting Hall of Fame. He was knighted in 1994 and has received many other honors and awards in recognition of his service to the accounting profession. Sir David became President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, the world's oldest professional accountancy body, in April 2012. He chairs the Royal Household Audit Committee for the Sovereign Grant.

Details	:	At the CPD, the distinguished speaker will share his thoughts on topics such as International Valuation Standards including his views on the potential changes in the future, and how adoption of the standards will positively impact on the valuation professionals of the RICS and HKIS, as well as professionalism in Business Valuation in Hong Kong.

To register, please login to the HKIS web site or, fill in the Standard Reservation Form and return together with payment to the HKIS Secretariat (This CPD event is eligible for PQSL hours for GPD members)

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
