Speaker	:	Sr Eddie WONG BSc, MSc, MHKIS, RPS(LS) Sr Eddie WONG is currently a Land Surveyor in Information Technology Management Unit, Fire Services Department, HKSAR. Being the Geographic Information System (GIS) Manager, he maintained the mission critical system – Third Generation Mobilising System for supporting over 10,000 staff and 1,000 appliances to provide timely fire and ambulance services to the community. He also assisted in the revamp of the Integrated Licencing, Fire Safety and Prosecution System which handles over 360,000 (per year) fire safety inspections, the related building fire service installation, licence and prosecution information. From time to time, he provided GIS and Information Technology (IT) technical advice and data analysis to support management decision. He also introduced and implemented new IT initiatives such as 3D digital map, Building Information Modelling, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle etc. to the department to improve the daily operation efficiency.

Details	:	In the seminar, Eddie will share the role of Land Surveyor in supporting the fire and ambulance services for the community. He will introduce the two major IT systems in the Fire Services Department and how a Land Surveyor can support the systems with the expertise in GIS, spatial data and IT project management. He will show how to use spatial data with adoption of the latest technology to make the staff working in the department smarter and more efficient.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
