Speaker	:	Sr Mo Ki Long BSc (Hons), MHKIS, MRICS Sr Mo Ki Long has been working in engineering survey industry for over twenty years. He is currently a resident land surveyor in a consultant company for one of the governments mega public works projects. Sr Mo has been intensively involved in this segmental bridge project from the beginning till the end. Being a survey team leader, he shoulders up the responsibilities of survey controls, topographic surveys, road alignment calculations, foundation structure constructions, segment casting, segment erections and so on to streamline the whole construction.

Details	:	Segmental bridge construction has been developing since 1960s. With the efficiency, cost effectiveness and environment-friendly advantages, segmental bridge construction has become a trend for model city infrastructure like Hong Kong where land resource is limited. In the seminar, Sr Mo will share his role, as a resident land surveyor, in the segmental bridge construction. He will discuss the essential competences for land surveyor to manage various surveying issues throughout the construction process. The experience gained, lessons learnt and the indispensable role of land surveyors in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (ACE) will be concluded in the seminar.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
