Speaker	:	Sr Roger Nissim Sr Roger Nissim, FRICS, FHKIS, RPS, became chartered in 1968 and practised as a surveyor in England before coming to Hong Kong in 1973. For twenty years, he worked for the Hong Kong government before joining a leading local property developer. From 2007 to 2018, he was an adjunct professor in the Department of Real Estate and Construction at the University of Hong Kong. Currently he is an active Board Member of both The Hong Kong Countryside Foundation and the Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired. He is the author of Land Administration and Practice in Hong Kong (fourth edition) and The First Estates – the story of Fairview Park and Hong Lok Yuen with documents.

Details	:	The story of Fairview Park and Hong Lok Yuen with documents – Two pioneering and groundbreaking projects in Hong Kong The seminar will cover both the evolution and the impact on Hong Kong’s urban/ suburban history of these two pioneering and groundbreaking projects which would not have been possible without their visionary and ‘Champion’ Clifford Wong who sadly died in 1987 before they were both completed. Included for both estates are some interesting comments and observations resulting from the interviews with some of the original house owners who have continued to live there since buying their houses in the late 1970’s/ early 1980’s. What lessons can be learned from these two projects that, hopefully, are still relevant today?
Remarks	:	The event will be conducted online via ZOOM. Successful registrants will be notified separately via email with the web link and password in due course to the online event . 1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
