Details :

Housing completion fell off the cliff in 2019, albeit the government’s effort to “leave no stone unturned” in its quest to unlock more land for homes in the past couples of years. Would the housing supply see a V-shape recovery in the short-to-medium term? What has gone wrong in the process and what could be done to save us from an increasing housing supply shortage?

In this seminar, we will discuss:

  • The housing supply outlook
  • How is the regulatory red tape holding back private housing development? What are the changes needed and how likely are these changes to happen?
  • What are the reasons for the constant delay in public housing projects? Three case studies will be presented, each with a distinctive reason for the delay

What is the problem in the demand forecast adopted by the Long Term Housing Strategy?
