Speaker	:	Sr Prof. Wong Bay, Chairman of Project Management Committee MBA, FHKIS, FRICS, RPS(BS), RI(S) Wong Bay is a Building Surveyor by profession. He is a Past President of HKIS in 2010 and 2011. He served in the Hong Kong Government for over 37 years. During his tenure as a civil servant, he spent most of his time in the Architectural Services Department and Housing Department. He escalated from Maintenance Surveyor to Assistant Director of Housing before his retirement in 2010, contributing to estate maintenance, improvements and facilities management. He has managed maintenance and A&A projects with a budget value over $4 Billion per annum. Sr Prof. Wong was presented the “Distinguished Building Surveyors 1998 Award” by HKIS. Currently, he has taken up a role in education as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Real Estate and Construction of The University of Hong Kong, aiming to nurture the young generation.

Details	:	There was an interesting story in the evolution of project organization in UK and USA. The speaker will leisurely walk through these developments with the audience. According to PMI's research in 2013, 51 million of people across the globe were engaged In this rapidly growing profession. In this CPD the roles of project manager, its core competence and body of knowledge will be shared. The essential skills contributing to successful project management will also be highlighted including the concepts of integrated project delivery, collaborative technologies, interdisciplinary management and effective project communication skills.
Remarks	:	The event will be conducted online via ZOOM. Successful registrants will be notified separately via email with the web link and password in due course to the online event . 1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
