Ryan is currently the Head of Land and Housing Research at Our Hong Kong Foundation, the largest public policy think tank in Hong Kong, leading a team of research professionals in the areas of land and housing policies in the city. Before joining OHKF, Ryan was an economist at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, covering the Greater China economy. Prior to that, he was a research analyst at JLL Hong Kong, where he contributed to numerous white papers and consultancy projects. He holds a Master of Science degree in Economics at the London School of Economics, after obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in the same subject at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, the logistics industry has demonstrated its importance to Hong Kong's society and economy, as witness by the eruptive growth of e-commerce. The intensifying geopolitical tensions worldwide, however, poses new challenges to international trade and the logistics industry. Has the Government done enough to cope with the rapidly changing landscape and to ensure the sustainable growth of the industry?

 

Our Hong Kong Foundation has published a new report on the development of HK's logistics industry and its land demand, In this seminar, we will discuss:

  • Hong Kong's traditional advantage as a logistics hub and the challenges faced by it
