Details :

Established in 1948, HKHS takes pride in its mission to provide the Hong Kong community with quality homes.  With a number of its rental estates built in the 1960s-70s and over one-third of its tenants aged 60 or above, HKHS has been facing the issue of “double-ageing” in its rental estates operation.

Using the Ming Wah Dai Ha (明華大廈), the oldest estate of HKHS on Hong Kong Island, as a case study, Mr Chan will share HKHS’ experience in managing estate redevelopment projects as well as the challenges and opportunities at each stage of a project life cycle.  He will also touch on the design considerations when adopting an integrated redevelopment model, which is meant to bring about intergenerational harmony within the community.
