Details :

BSD are going to organize three half-day Workshops for BS probationers under three Main Streams:- (1) Building Control on 11-9-2021; (2) Maintenance and Rehabilitation on 18-9-2021; and (3) Project and Development on 25-9-2021.  Other than the invited speakers for the briefing on the APC requirements and the core competences for different Main Streams, the purpose of the Workshop is the group discussion led by our guest speaker and other experienced Counsellors.  All confirmed participants will have to submit at least one question for the Workshop (For details, please refer to the Remarks 6).

Remarks :

Applicants should pay attention to the following:-

  1. This event is recognized as a Divisional PQSL event and qualifies for PQSL hours, and is NOT eligible for CPD Hours.
  2. Priority is given to BSD Probationers who have undergone 1-3 years’ APC training, which have been obtained on or before the closing date of application. Available number of seats for each Workshop is 58.  In case of oversubscription, the HKIS Secretariat will check all registrations of the three Workshops and allocate the seats according to the Main Stream registered at the HKIS. A random draw by computer will be conducted after such allocation.
  3. NO WALK-IN IS AVAILABLE for this event.
  4. Online registration is required through the HKIS website and online payment is not accepted for this PQSL event. To complete the registration, payment by cheque with the applicant’s name and event name written on the back of the cheque shall be sent to the HKIS Secretariat no later than the closing date.  Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
  5. Applicants who are selected to join the Workshop will receive an email notification within one week from the closing date for application.
  6. Shortlisted applicants are required to submit the question(s) by return email within two days of the receipt of the notification email.  The following are possible aspects of the questions:
  • Understanding on the Core Competences of the Main Stream;
  • Interpretation of the APC requirements;
  • Learning difficulties in the professional training

The applicant may offer a maximum of two questions.  Any shortlisted applicant who fails to submit their question(s) within two days is assumed to have given up their seat and the seat will be provided to other applicants on the waiting list.

  1. Those who do not receive a notification from the HKIS Secretariat may assume that his/her application is unsuccessful.  For enquiries, please contact the HKIS Secretariat at 2526 3679.
  2. All fees paid by the shortlisted applicants are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  3. All successful participants will receive an email with details of the schedule before the event date.
  4. All successful participants should strictly follow the infection control measures as set up by the HKIS when attending face to face seminars, and are required to complete the Health Declaration Form before the event.  Those participants who do not complete the declaration form within the specified period, will not be allowed to join the Workshop.

 

*Special arrangements under COVID-19 Pandemic*:

  • Prior online registration is required.  Walk-in registration will not be entertained.
  • Limited number of seats with social distancing is available at the Surveyors Learning Centre.
  • Participants should scan the “LeaveHomeSafe安心出行” QR code with their mobile phones or register their personal information in the online Health Declaration Form (https://forms.office.com/r/Q7vDYmtfxQ) upon arrival at the Surveyors Learning Centre.
  • Participants will be denied entry if they fail to scan the “LeaveHomeSafe安心出行” QR code or complete the online Health Declaration Form.
  • Participants will be denied entry to the Surveyors Learning Centre if they have been travelling abroad, or have been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or have any symptoms of COVID-19 (including but not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath, breathing difficulty, sudden loss of taste or smell and/or sore throat) in the last 21 days, or have been confirmed with COVID-19 or undergoing compulsory quarantine or medical surveillance arrangements of the HKSAR Department of Health.
  • Participants are required to wear a surgical mask at all times at the Surveyors Learning Centre.
  • Eating and drinking is not allowed at the Surveyors Learning Centre.
  • Disinfection service has been arranged at the Surveyors Learning Centre (comprising the Lecture Room, Meeting Room 1, Board Room, Library and Meeting Room 2).
