Speaker	:	Mr Wilfred Au, Director, Planning and Design, Urban Renewal Authority Mr Au, is a Registered Architect. He has joined URA since 2008. He leads a multi-disciplinary team to formulate planning strategy and oversee project implementation under the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance for restructuring and replanning of the built environment. Through planning led UR projects and a holistic approach covering 4Rs core business (Redevelopment, Rehabilitation, pReservation and Revitalisation), other concepts of sustainability and smart city will also apply in urban renewal. He is currently overseeing major strategic studies and researches like Yau Mong District Study, Sustainability Study and the development of Urban Renewal Information System to enable smart governance over UR planning. Sr Bruchi Nam Chi Kwong, Director, Property and Land, Urban Renewal Authority Sr Nam is a Fellow of HKIS & RICS and an RPS(GP). He joined the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) in 2003 after working in the Government and the private sector for over 20 years. He oversees the Property and Land Division of URA responsible for valuation, land matters, joint venture terms, sales, leasing, facility management and placemaking. In his leisure time, he enjoys photography. He is a salon judge and Fellow of some international photographic societies

Details	:	The Central Market Revitalization Project is a conservation and revitalization project under the Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”), and it is also under the new initiative of “Conserving Central” by the Government. The URA commenced restoration and preservation works for this 80-year-old grade three historic building with the application of innovative restoration methods, repair materials, and project management software, in order to enhance both the work quality and efficiency. In terms of operations, the URA has partnered with Chinachem Group to jointly operate and manage this building located in the center of Central. The URA and Chinachem Group has been working together to inject the concept of “Playground for All” into the Central Market and turn this landmark that had been in operation from 1939 to 2003, into a vibrant community hotspot that combines “Approachable”, “Energetic” and “Gregarious”, which not only preserves collective memories, but also brings new experiences to the community.

Successful registrants will receive an email confirmation. All participants will be asked to wear masks during the visit, maintain social distance and comply with the latest regulations regarding prohibition on group gathering. All participating members shall arrange their own transport to the venue. While HKIS will arrange for insurance policy (COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded) for the participants, members may consider taking out their own insurance policy to cover their own risks Latecomers will NOT be picked up and will NOT be allowed to join the visit.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
