Speaker	:	Ir Mak Ping Chung, Assistant General Manager of Fung Cheung Kee Group MSc (Hons), BSc.(Hons), RPE(STL), MHKIE, MIstructE, MHKICM, C.Eng., MCRC(RGBC), AS(RGBC), MTC(CoP Structural Use of Steel) Ir Mak has 24 years job experience in local construction industry. He is a active player in construction industry and being the member of the government committees, Contractor Registration Committee and Technical Committee on the Code of Practice for the Structural Use of Steel. His project teams also participated the HKICM Award 2018 & 2020 and more than 20 awards were gained in these two Awards. He has experience in several particular areas such as building construction, foundation, basement, pile cap, steel structure, precast elements, footbridge, excavation and lateral support, A&A work and minor works.

Details	:	The virtual site visits include two projects below: Project (1) - Supply & Installation of Hoarding Works The project (1) is a hoarding & demolition works contract at LOHAS Park, Tseung Kwan O, to be completed within 90 calender days. The challenge is a very tight schedule involving all the necessary submission & approval of BD hoarding amendments. Project (2) - Main Contract for Proposed Residential Development This project (2) is a residential development at Waterloo Road, Kowloon to be completed within 570 calender days. The challenge is about the drainage connection works involving permit applications, in the heavy traffic carriageway at Boundary Street. The challenges faced by the Project Manager and the solutions to overcome the site construction problems include the use some new technologies, e.g. adopting the 3D Laser scanner to get 3D models and remote demolition robot to carry out demolition work to help deliver more reliably and efficiently service.
Remarks	:	The event will be conducted online via ZOOM. Successful registrants will be notified separately via email with the web link in due course to the online event. 1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
