The Hong Kong Palace Museum is scheduled for completion by the end of this year and open to public in mid 2022.  It is an important art and cultural facility situated in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong. The total GFA of the building is about 30,000 sqm. The museum will have 7,600 square metres of gallery space dedicated to gold, bronze and jade items, paintings, and ceramic objects, as well as displays on life in the Imperial Court. Other museum facilities include a 400-seat lecture theatre, activity rooms, a restaurant and shop etc.

Based around a contemporary interpretation of classic Chinese visual and spatial aesthetics, the museum design builds on a concept of linked courtyards translated into a vertical series of atriums that draw the visitor upwards. Located adjacent to the Art Park and facing Victoria Harbour, the Hong Kong Palace Museum will provide a distinctive cultural bookend to the District at its western end.
