Dr. Ching has more than 35 years of experience in land surveying, land administration and transport design projects, gaining from Hong Kong and Australia. He has a diverse range of knowledge and experience in the surveying industry such as Cadastral Surveying, Expert Witness in Court, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), resumption and clearance land administration in Railways and Roads Projects, Advanced Digital Laser Scanning, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), as well as War Relics Heritage Studies for the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Ching also has extensive project management experience in traffic impact assessment, roads network and transport corridor investigations, as well as public transport modeling studies. He is a Fellow member in the Land Surveying Division of HKIS and an Authorized Land Surveyor (ALS) registered under the Land Survey Ordinance (Cap.473).

In this CPD, Dr. Ching will brief the attendees, from a perspective of an ALS, about their services, the changing and challenging roles of contemporary land surveyors.
