Speaker	:	Prof. Dr. LAW Wai Hung Francis Hon. LLD, Master of Law, MBA, MHKMC, SIME, CWPM, SIPDRA, FAIDRRMI, SCADJ, SCIEW Professor, Lead Assessor and Trainer Prof. Francis Law is the President of Hong Kong Mediation Centre, President of the Academy of International Dispute Resolution & Professional Negotiation and the Chairman of eight international legal and dispute resolution organizations. Prof Law is serving on the mediator and arbitrator panels of over 30 regions/countries. From 2012 to 2018, he was appointed by the Secretary of Justice of Hong Kong as the member of the Steering Committee on Mediation, Accreditation Sub-committee, Regulatory Framework Sub-committee and Public Education and Publicity Sub-committee. He is the Lead Trainer and the Lead Assessor of the Dispute Resolution profession in Hong Kong, China and other Asia countries and had trained over 3000 mediators, 150 Assessors, International Risk Managers, Advocates, Coaches and Trainers globally. Prof. Law has participated in over 350 forums, seminars and international conferences as a guest speaker. He assists in establishing several Arbitration and Mediation Institutions in Asia and help them to set up mediation policy, design mediation training and formulating the assessment and disciplinary mechanism Prof. Law is a columnist publishing articles in commercial and workplace disputes resolution in newspaper/ magazines. Since 2016, he has been leading delegations to attend the United Nation Commission of International Trade Law Sessions and was invited to be the observer of the United National Committee of International Trade Law. He was actively involved in the drafting of the Singapore Mediation Convention and was a member of the UN Singapore Mediation Convention Promotional Group Experts Representatives. Prof. Law was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Secretary of Home Affairs to command for his dedicated services and outstanding contribution to the promotion of mediation professional services. Prof Law was appointed as the representative of the WTO accredited Non-Government Organization to the WTO Minister Meeting in 2021.

Remarks	:	The event will be conducted online via ZOOM. Upon successful payment of the registration fee, the ZOOM link for joining the CPD event will be available in the CPD/PQSL profile under the "Member Area" of the HKIS website. On-line registration is not applicable for non-HKIS members. 1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
