Speaker : Sr Sunny CHOI
Sr Sunny CHOI is working as a Manager in the Construction Digitalisation Department of the Construction Industry Council. He has over 35 years professional quantity surveying experience in technical audit, cost management and contract administration of construction and maintenance works.

Sr Choi got BIM Manager Certification of RICS in 2014 and obtained CIC Certified BIM Manager in 2019. He is the Chairman of the Quantity Surveying Division of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. He has participated in the exploration, development and promotion of BIM applications for quantity surveying works in Hong Kong since 2010.

Sr Choi strives to promote the value of BIM uses to quantity surveyors and students, and to enhance the collaboration on BIM applications among quantity surveyors and other disciplines. He is currently working on how to improve the effectiveness of digitized measurement.

The Digitalisation Sub-committee of the QSD has recently completed the drafting of a new document called “BIM Measurement Information Requirements” (MIR), which is now under industry consultation. 

In this CPD event, Sr Choi will brief the background of preparing the MIR, introduce the key features of the MIR and collect views from participants.
