The very first Grade A office in the Northern Metropolis (NM) – One North, located only 20 minutes away from the entry to Shenzhen Bay Port, marks a new milestone for the blossoming cross-border economy, tapping into the wealth of business opportunities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), including the ‘Twin Cities,’ ‘Three Circles,’ and the “Four major zones.” One North consists of two office towers and was completed in Aug 2022, providing about 445,000 sq. ft of smart workplace with unrivaled usable space. It is positioned at the nexus connecting entrepreneurs with talent from across the GBA, as well as within the northern part of Hong Kong.

The Development Bureau launched the Northern Metropolis Action Agenda on 30th October 2023, which clearly set out the blueprint, development directions as well as implementation timetable of the four major zones in the NM. This proves that the Hong Kong Government is determined to expedite the implementation of the NM with supports from Central Government. Ms Kathy Lee from Colliers, will share some of the key takeaways from the action agenda and her insights on the development schemes of the NM.

This project has been designed by Aedas, one of the world’s leading global architecture and design practices. We are pleased to invite the Global Design Principal, Mr. Cary Lau, to give us a presentation on the building design concept for the whole development.

Visitors can explore our wellness garden, which covers over 20,000 sq. ft of podium garden, as well as the building facilities and office floors. They will have the opportunity to learn how One North’s sustainable design puts people’s health and wellness first and how the complex promotes green living while offering exceptional workplace comfort to our office tenants.

Remarks

1. Online registration is not accepted for this CPD event. First-come-first-served with duly completed Standard Reservation Form and Declaration Form.

2. All participating members shall arrange their own transport to the venue.

3. While HKIS will arrange for insurance policy for the participants, members may consider taking out their own insurance policy to cover their own risks.

4. Latecomers will NOT be picked up and will NOT be allowed to join the visit.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
